Ivy is an evergreen outdoor plant for shady spots. Use it in hanging baskets and window boxes, as a ground cover, or to climb a trellis or wall. It grows in partial to full shade and needs moderate watering. An easy plant for beginners.
Please don't plant ivy in a street tree pit. NYC Parks asks that ivy and vines stay out of tree pits.
