Urban Garden Center – Returns & Refund Policy

At Urban Garden Center, we stand behind the quality of the products we sell. Because many of our items are living plants or seasonal goods, our return policy differs from standard retail stores.

Please review the policy below before placing an order.


Returns

Most non-living merchandise may be returned within 7 days of delivery or pickup, provided that:

  • The item is unused

  • The item is in original packaging

  • You have proof of purchase

Returns must be approved before being sent back. Items returned without prior authorization may not be accepted.

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the return is due to an error on our part.


Non-Returnable Items

Because of their nature, the following items cannot be returned:

Living Plants

All sales of live plants, trees, and seasonal greenery are final.

Plants are living organisms and their health depends on care, light, watering, and environmental conditions that are outside our control once they leave our store.

If you have questions about plant care or selection before purchasing, we are happy to help.


Seasonal Products

The following seasonal items are final sale:

  • Christmas trees

  • Wreaths and garland

  • Cut greenery

  • Firewood

  • Pumpkins and seasonal decorations

These products are seasonal and perishable and therefore cannot be returned once delivered or picked up.


Bulk Materials

Bulk or heavy materials are also non-returnable, including:

  • Soil

  • Mulch

  • Stone

  • Compost

  • Bulk firewood


Custom or Special Orders

Custom items or special orders cannot be returned, including:

  • Custom planters

  • Special order pottery

  • Custom holiday installations

  • Specially sourced plants or trees


Damaged or Incorrect Orders

Please inspect your order upon delivery or pickup.

If you receive:

  • a damaged item

  • the wrong item

  • a defective product

please contact us within 24 hours at:

sales@urbangardennyc.com

We will evaluate the issue and work with you to resolve it.

Photos of the item may be required to process a replacement or refund.


Exchanges

We do not process direct exchanges.

If an exchange is approved, the original item must first be returned and processed. A new order can then be placed for the replacement item.


Refunds

If a return is approved, refunds will be issued to the original payment method after the returned item is received and inspected.

Please allow 5–10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement.
