Pilea involucrata Friendship Plant

Pilea involucrata

The Friendship Plant

6" $30

Pilea involucrata, commonly called the Friendship Plant, is a bushy trailing plant which is sometimes cultivated, especially where high humidity can be provided, such as in a terrarium.

It is native to Central and South America.

Provide this beauty moderate to bright light.

Place near a window, but away from direct sunlight, which can scorch its leaves.

Give your PI Friendship a quarter turn every few days to expose all sides to sunlight.

It is best to let it dry out in between waterings.

The waxy sheen on the leaves indicates that it is holding its water.

In the summertime monitor to see if it needs water every 3-4 days, so it doesn't go too long without water.

Pileas loves humidity, so spray or mist the leaves twice a week if your home is on the dry side.

They grow to a height of 8"-12".

They have a very distinctive appearance – green vegetative shoots grow up and out from the crown, each ending in a single saucer shaped leaf that can reach 4" in diameter.

We do not warranty or guarantee any living plant. No returns or exchanges on live plants. All sales are final on live plants.
