Perennials

Perennials are plants that live for more than two years, distinguishing them from annuals (one-year lifespan) and biennials (two-year lifespan). While the term technically includes trees and shrubs, it is most commonly used in horticulture to describe herbaceous perennials, which die back to the ground in autumn and regrow from their root systems each spring.
