Nephthytis is a genus of eight species of flowering plants in the family Araceae, native to tropical western Africa, with one species in Borneo.
They are herbaceous plants, growing from a rhizome.
The leaves are evergreen, light and dark green, 6"-14" long, and are usually arrowhead-shaped, with three lobes.
Nephthytis enjoys a warm humid environment.
Keep Nephthytis (Arrowhead plant) moderately moist, but do not let it dry out between waterings.
Mist with tepid water occasionally or place in a bathroom or kitchen.
If you have hard water, you may need to mist with distilled water.
Prefers shade, no more than 4 hrs of direct sunlight a day.
Prune by cutting the long vines of the plant to within 6"-8" of the soil line.
Shortening the long vines helps the plant become full and bushy.
You should also pinch the growing tips a few times a year.
