Gasteria is a genus of relatively rare, aloe-like succulents.

It sometimes goes by the colloquial name "ox tongue," after the long, rough texture of the leaves.

The plant is named for the sac-like shape of its flowers, which are supposed to resemble a stomach.

When growing Gasteria succulents indoors, the light from a sunny window is often enough to keep them happy.

Indoor growers say they’ve experienced excellent results when growing Gasteria succulents in cool rooms with limited sunlight.

Provide bright, but not direct light for this plant.

Growing Gasteria succulents need little water.

Fertilizer should be limited to once in spring, both for houseplants and those planted outdoors.

You can allow houseplant Gasteria to spend time outdoors in lightly shaded areas during the summer.

We do not warranty or guarantee any living plant. No returns or exchanges on live plants. All sales are final on live plants.
