Shamrock plants (Oxalis spp.) have leaves composed of three leaflets that resemble shamrocks, or four-leaf clovers.

While Shamrocks always have three leaves, Clover Plants can have a fourth leaf.

Shamrocks are usually green, but you can find purple, green or white Clover Plants.

They are so similar that they both are intertwined when it comes to recognition and classification.
